Fraud Analytics

Requires Growth tier or above
The Fraud page identifies suspicious patterns in your transaction data.

Metrics

  • Fraud-Related Declines — Transactions declined for fraud reasons (stolen card, security violation)
  • Fraud Rate — Fraud declines / total transactions
  • Avg Fraud Amount — Average amount of fraud-related declines
  • Unique Cards Flagged — Number of distinct cards with fraud declines

Fraud by Decline Reason

Breakdown of fraud-specific decline reasons with counts and amounts. Common fraud reasons:
  • Stolen card / pick up card
  • Security violation
  • Suspected fraud
  • CVV mismatch (potential card testing)

Card Brand Fraud Rates

Fraud decline rates by card network. Helps identify if a specific processor or card brand has elevated risk.

High-Value Declines

The largest declined transactions by amount. High-value declines deserve attention — they may be legitimate customers hitting card limits, or they may be fraud attempts testing large amounts.

What This Page Does NOT Do

This page analyzes historical decline data. It does not:
  • Block transactions in real-time (that’s your NMI gateway’s job)
  • File fraud reports with card networks
  • Provide chargeback management (see Disputes page)
Think of it as a diagnostic tool — it shows you where fraud is happening so you can adjust your gateway rules or follow up with customers.
